Welcome to The Pines at Buckeye Ridge. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website, communications, accommodations, events, experiences, and related services. By accessing our website, submitting an inquiry, making a reservation, registering for an event or experience, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

About The Pines at Buckeye Ridge

The Pines at Buckeye Ridge offers overnight accommodations, private and group stays, retreats, events, meetings, wellness experiences, recreational amenities, and optional add-on services. The Pines is located on the grounds of Buckeye Ridge and operates alongside the mission of Buckeye Ridge Rescue & Retreat, a nonprofit organization supporting people and rescue animals through animal-assisted, nature-based therapeutic and wellness experiences. Services, amenities, experiences, pricing, and availability are subject to change.

Reservations & Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement to make a reservation or purchase services from The Pines.

The individual making a reservation is responsible for providing accurate information and for ensuring that members of their party understand and follow applicable property rules and policies. Certain experiences, amenities, or activities may have additional age, supervision, eligibility, safety, or participation requirements.

Payments, Deposits & Cancellations

Reservations, events, retreats, private experiences, and add-on services are subject to the pricing, deposit requirements, payment schedules, cancellation policies, and refund terms presented at the time of booking. By completing a reservation or purchase, you agree to the policies associated with that reservation or service. Additional charges may apply for damages, excessive cleaning, unauthorized guests, missing property, or other violations of applicable guest or booking policies.

Property, Amenities & Experiences

Guests may have access to amenities and experiences that can include ponds, trails, swimming and recreation areas, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, a hot tub, fitness facilities, outdoor gathering spaces, interactions with animals, and other recreational or nature-based activities.

Availability of amenities may vary due to weather, maintenance, animal welfare considerations, safety concerns, seasonal conditions, or other circumstances. Some activities involve inherent risks. Guests are responsible for following posted rules, staff instructions, safety requirements, and any additional agreements or waivers applicable to a particular activity. Equipment provided by The Pines must be used responsibly and only for its intended purpose.

Animal Interactions

Buckeye Ridge is home to rescue animals with individual personalities, histories, needs, and boundaries.

Guests must follow all instructions provided by staff regarding animal interactions. Access to animals or animal areas may be limited or changed at any time for the safety and well-being of guests and animals. Guests may not enter restricted animal areas, feed animals, handle animals, or otherwise interact with them unless expressly permitted.

Add-On Services

Certain services and experiences, including massages, private chef experiences, guided activities, wellness programming, and other offerings, may be available for an additional fee and may require advance reservations. These services may be provided by The Pines or qualified independent service providers and may be subject to separate terms, cancellation policies, availability, or participation requirements.

Events, Retreats & Group Reservations

Weddings, retreats, meetings, celebrations, photoshoots, group stays, and other private events may require a separate agreement.

When a separate event, rental, or group agreement applies, the terms of that agreement will govern the applicable reservation in the event of a conflict with these general Terms & Conditions.

Guest Conduct

We want The Pines to remain a safe, peaceful, and welcoming environment for our guests, staff, volunteers, and animals.

Guests agree to respect the property, other visitors, staff members, rescue animals, natural surroundings, and all posted or communicated rules.

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service, participation, or property access when conduct is unsafe, disruptive, unlawful, damaging, threatening, or inconsistent with the well-being of our guests, staff, animals, or property.

Website Use

You agree not to misuse this website, interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorized access to its systems, submit knowingly false or misleading information, or use the website or our services for unlawful purposes. We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or update portions of our website or services at any time.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the text, photography, graphics, videos, logos, branding, designs, and other original content appearing on this website are owned by or licensed to The Pines at Buckeye Ridge and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Content may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, or commercially used without prior written permission.

Email & SMS Communications

If you subscribe to our email communications, you may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link provided in our emails.

If you provide your mobile number and expressly opt in to SMS or MMS communications, you consent to receive messages from The Pines at Buckeye Ridge at the number provided. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe from text messages or HELP for assistance. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not required as a condition of purchasing goods or services.

Photography & Recording

Photography, video, or audio recording may occasionally take place during public events, programs, or experiences at The Pines and Buckeye Ridge.

When appropriate, notices or additional releases may be provided. Guests who have concerns about appearing in promotional photography or video should speak with a staff member. Private or commercial photography sessions may require advance approval and may be subject to separate policies or fees.

Assumption of Risk

The Pines is located within a natural, agricultural, and animal-centered environment. Certain activities and areas may involve risks associated with uneven terrain, weather, water, outdoor recreation, animals, equipment, and other conditions inherent to these environments.

Guests are expected to exercise reasonable care, follow safety instructions, and participate only in activities appropriate for their abilities and circumstances. Certain activities may require guests or participants to review and sign a separate assumption-of-risk, release, or participation agreement before participating.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Pines at Buckeye Ridge and its affiliated organizations, owners, employees, representatives, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of our website or services. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.

Force Majeure

The Pines is not responsible for delays, cancellations, interruptions, or inability to provide services caused by circumstances reasonably beyond our control, including severe weather, natural disasters, utility or infrastructure failures, government actions, emergencies, public safety concerns, or other unforeseen events. When such circumstances affect a reservation or experience, any available rescheduling, credit, or refund will be determined according to the applicable booking agreement or cancellation policy.

Information collected through our website, reservations, forms, communications, and services is handled according to our Privacy Policy.
